Tony Fernandes Group CEO mesmerized the crowd of shareholders, proxies, media, guests & invitees as well as senior management from AirAsia & her affiliates AirAsia Thailand, Thailand, Philippines & Air Asia X the medium/long haul low cost carrier.
Tony Fernandes will step down as Group CEO with effect from July 1 2012 to head AirAsia ASEAN based in Jakarta, Indonesia. 
Ms Aireen Omar currently heading Corporate Finance, Treasury & Investor Relations will take over as the new CEO from July 1 2012. She will also be appointed an Executive Director & will report to Tony Fernandes who still heads the Group.
AirAsia launches a new app which is accessible via smart phones & tablets. The launching was done as soon as the annual general meeting was over.
