MONKEY BRIDGE OVER TENEGANG BESAR RIVER, KINABATANGAN FLOOD PLAIN

The pair of monkeys is making love over the Bridge of Love. They each say "Hush, Not a word to......."

This monkey is waiting with bated breath for a mate.

This is a lonely monkey. It is desperate for companionship.

The monkey is taunting the tourists in the boat below. It is saying: "Catch me if you can".

Monkeys crossing from the right bank of the Tenegang Besar River to the left.

Monkeys belonging to the long-tailed macaque family as well as the pig-tailed macaque family cannot swim. The remaining commonly found family of monkeys in the Kinabatangan River Basin, the proboscis monkeys are good swimmers.

This monkey bridge straddles the river mouth of the Tenegang Besar River at its confluence with the mother river the Kinabatangan River Sabah's longest river with a length of 560 kilometres.
The bridge enables monkeys to cross over the banks of the Tenegang Besar River.
